Dr Terence Nice
From childhood to the twilight of our years, our destructive drives, inter-personal needs and existential feelings manifest themselves in the question of whether to be or not to be. This talk examines what might underlie this clinical phenomenon and how we as practitioners can hold, help and contain individuals who actively self harm and wish to die.
Dr Terence Nice works with adolescents and adults. He is also Lecturer in Psychological Therapies at the University of Kent and visiting lecturer at Regents University London. He is a member of UKCP Research Faculty and researches into self-harm and attempted suicide in the NHS and other organisations. He has published journal articles on this subject.
